Transformer technology since 1939

A timeline into the past

1939

In February, Paul Schneider founds the company in Freiburg, Adelhauserstraße, which specializes in the manufacture of transformers. He employs two people.

1941

The number of employees has grown to ten, so the company moves to larger premises in Habsburgerstrasse.

1953

A further move to larger premises becomes necessary, with 23 employees now working in the company.

1963

After his apprenticeship, the founder's son, Peter Schneider, joins the company.

1985

The development of the business requires a new and modern production hall. The Schneider company therefore moves to the industrial area in March-Buchheim. The number of employees has risen to 32.

1985

Peter Schneider takes over the management.

1986

Company founder Paul Schneider retires from active management.

1990

The product range is expanded: Trafo-Schneider supplies complete solutions that are manufactured according to customer requirements.

1994

Expansion of production for water-cooled high-current transformers.

2000

In July 2000, company founder Paul Schneider dies at the age of 88.

2008

The product range is being expanded. In addition to our standard range, we are increasingly fulfilling customer-specific requests.

2010

Complete power supplies for spacecraft and satellite reception systems.

2020

Takeover of the company by BruderGruppe

2025

Generational change in the management: Lukas Bruder & Matthias Dierle become part of the management team
